Kids Ministry

Check out what's happening for kids at FPC Napa!

Kids Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Napa

We would love to have your kids join us at FPC Napa! From the nursery to our Kids' Church for elementary ages, kids will experience a safe, age-appropriate environment to learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way. Parents, we know how important your role is and want to partner with you to help them know and love Jesus!

Discovery Bay, our nursery on Sunday mornings, is open for kids infant-4 years old.

Kids' Church for those in K-5 meets in person at 10 a.m.. Or, check out the lessons online (below) for you to watch whenever it's most convenient for you! Don't miss out on sharing God's love with your kids--your whole family will be the better for it!

Your first visit in person

Here's what to expect when visiting for the first time in person:

First, find the Chapel next to the Presbyterian Day School entrance on Randolph Street. There we will meet your family and check your child in to our system. Come a little bit before 10 a.m. so we'll have plenty of time to get you checked in. If you would like to check in online ahead of time, download the Church Center App and look for First Presbyterian Church of Napa to get started.

When you check in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  • Parent/guardian name(s), email, and phone number
  • Child's name
  • Home address
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

Already registered?

Before Service: You can check in your child at the available kiosk in the Chapel. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and the day of your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will send you a quick text. We ask that you exit the Sanctuary immediately and check back in where you dropped off your child.

Nursery

Our nursery is a great environment for little ones, ages infant through 4 years old. Our caregivers have been screened and fingerprinted, and follow COVID safety protocols. You'll sign in at the kiosk in the Chapel entrance, then drop off your child close by in the nursery. Please use the sign in sheet as well. We'll text you, if needed, during the service. We want your nursery time to be a loving experience for your child and for you!

What's Happening at Kids' Church in September

Who do you know that shows initiative?

If you are getting ready to launch a rocket ship, a project at work, or your family out the door in the morning, taking some initiative is certainly involved! There are plenty of stories in the Bible that show people taking the initiative in serving God. One of them is our study for this month--the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem led by Nehemiah.

If you think about it, initiative is a reflection of the character of God. God took the initiative by sending Jesus to show us how much He loves us, and we hope that kids will discover that taking initiative is one way to show God how much we love Him!

Kids' Church meets Sunday mornings at 10 am in the Chapel.

Can't make it on Sunday morning? We still want you to learn along with us each week! Check out the videos below.

Parents: Check out the Parent Guides for some fun activities to do with your family.

Meet our Children's Ministry Director

Jane Roscoe

It is an amazing blessing to see children grow and learn! My three children have grown up at First Presbyterian Church of Napa and are now thriving young adults. First and foremost, I would love for your kids to get to know Jesus. Who He is. What He did for us. Why it makes a difference. It will change their lives!
